Summer Update

Good afternoon, y’all. I hope everyone is doing well. I know this heat is cooking our ass! I’m miserable with this broken AC situation. There’s no relief! Indoor or out, it doesn’t matter to me. Unless I’m at my full-time gig. Tomorrow is the day our air is going to be fixed, so fingers and toes crossed.
Everything is going well, but this is my summer update!

With another novella due in a little over two weeks, I will be taking a short break on Patchwork and Neon Red. Think of it as my summer break.
Juggling too many things at once is no good for anyone. And as it stands now, I want to get ahead of burnout. I keep that motha fucka at bay by knowing my limits as an author.
I know when I am approaching them, and when it is time to chill for a minute.
If I don’t, my stories will suffer greatly. And I don’t want that to happen with Patchwork. Neon Red is a completed series, but I do edit it each week, along with Patchwork. So, what does this mean? It means I’m taking a break starting tomorrow. I will drop one more chapter for Neon Red, then I’ll be gone until August 9th.
On that lovely day, you can expect both Patchwork and Neon Red to return!
I can’t wait to bring y’all new chapters and a fresh brain! With Neon Red and Patchwork, we are at the midpoint.
Remember, this is serialized fiction. It can run long or short depending on the series. Patchwork is brand ne;, Neon Red is not. I have a lot planned for Patchwork, so there’s no end date quite yet. Some will love this, others won’t. And that’s okay!
As always, I wanna say thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading these stories. It means the world to me that you are an amazing human for staying this long. Thaaankkkkk you so much! You are valued here.
With that said, I wanna wish y’all a happy few weeks, and I’ll talk to you soon. Byyyyye, bookies!✨🫶🏾✨

Fear and the Art of Choosing Courage

What’s a fear you’ve overcome — and how did you do it?

I love this question because fear shaped my entire life.

My biggest fear was public perception and harsh critique. I waited so long to publish my first public facing book because of this.

It’s sad to say, but I am a people pleaser. I wanted opinions and feedback to be good, great, FIVE STARS. But you can’t expect that as an author, it’s unrealistic, and I knew this. The mere idea of someone thinking, I’m annoying or a bad writer scared the fuck out of me.

I was scared of how they’d see me once I started pushing my books and marketing. In my mind, ANNOYING THEM! It’s a trait I am trying to grow out of at my big age of 38. I was so concerned with how I’d be perceived that I stood in the way of my own growth. This fear held me back from a lot. It kept me safe and comfortable but dissatisfied.

I published my first book quietly, but I still did it! I overcame my polarizing fear of criticism and perception.

I did this by choosing courage.

Courage to succeed, fail, be seen, heard, and rejected! I choose courage before I press publish on each new chapter. I choose courage with each and every edit. I choose to be courageous because little me deserves to be an author.

Courage is my daily affirmation. As a Black, bisexual woman I speak it the very moment I step outside. I choose to be brave and courageous for the rest of my life. The alternative is no longer an option.

Thankful for The Tiny Things

What are 5 everyday things that bring you happiness?

  • Books
  • Small forks
  • Tea/coffee
  • Showering
  • Music

These five special things keep me smiling. They are the last little joys I have left in this world! I tend to love a lot of oddities but I hold these dear. I don’t know where I’d be without them!

✨ Honorable mention: Movies

Guess what? I’m Giving Away My Book For Free!!

Hello! Happy Bisexual Visibility Day and happy Fall Equinox! This is the day I’ve been waiting for since summer started. I’m sure most of you know how much I hate May-August, especially living in a desert town. I can’t stand it. Fiery red and goldenrod leaves are what I need. A cool night with a hot cup of cider and a good smutty book does wonders for my mental state.
There is nothing I love more than a cloudy morning and the promise of rain. And in celebration of this wonderful seasonal change, I have decided to set up a new promotion for my book, The Huntsman and The Fox, which is FREE for a limited time on the zon. If you’re ever in the mood for some cozy MM paranormal romance, then go ahead and download it. Save it for later, that’s what I do.
Anyway, thank you for your time and continued support. Y’all are awesome, stay great humans!

It Feels Sooo Good To Be Baaaack!

Well! What a month March was. First, let me say this: I didn’t intentionally vanish. I lost my ac adapter for my laptop! I had nothing and could do nothing for three whole weeks. And I was miserable. No writing, no posting, nothing. Okay, that’s a lie; I brainstormed and wrote on my phone. Short stories (ones that never see the light of day), but stories I had fun writing.
Anything pertaining to PWAPF or blogs, however, was on hold. Everything is on my computer. With zero storage left on my device, I don’t have IG or WP on it. Obligatory work apps take up a lot of space on my phone. So, I was stuck for weeks and loathed every minute of it. But WE ARE BACK, and I hope to push out a new chapter on Tuesday.

Sad Girl Summer is Almost Over!!!

Here’s to a beautiful new month and Bi romance month! I love y’all! I am coming into my season and feeling better! I have said it a few times already, but I’m gonna let y’all know, summer makes me sad. I get in my feelings and I feel like shit from May to July. I’m just noooot, at my best. I’m unhappy and sappy. My vibes are at their lowest during those insufferable summer months. Granted, we are still in the summer swing, but the hot hoe is reaching its end. I can feel it in the air!.

Most hate fall and winter, but not eyyyye. We prefer them colder months over here. The sun and I have a contentious connection. I do not like her, and she don’t like me. I love the nocturnal and gloomy with my entire heart. I thrive during frigid winter nights. Dreary and dark is where I draw inspiration and vitality. I prefer dusk over dawn and rain to sunshine. It is who i am, and with summer approaching its inevitable end, I can breathe with ease.

My goal for this month is to be. Just, be. Be gentle with myself. Be at peace. Be calm. Be the positivity I wish to attract. Also, I just wanna write. I want to write what I WANT AND NOT CARE! I do that already, but when you’re a SM junkie, all the advice and takes can dampen ones creativity and mood. There are A LOT of opinions out there about the art of writing, but I don’t give a shit. I just don’t care.

AUTHORS & WRITERS CAN’T CARE! AND WE SHOULDN’T.

iyI’ve been doing this too long, I know better! Yes, I am a reader as well i know how we can get about our opinions, but as an author and a writer, that spce is not for me to dwell. Reader opinions are just that, and I can’t take any of it to heart. It will only hinder my ability to create. I have decided to block those posts and tweets, because they can be harmful. This is not me saying they shouldn’t post them, I don’t care, post whatever you want. That’s what the mute button is for. Some of y’all need to learn about it too. Anyway. I’m rambling but, you get it. I’m a mess. It’s Inevitable. I’m gonna veer. I’m a habitual veer=er! With all of that, I say have a nice day, drink water, and don’t be KHHNT!
